Scientists led by a team from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark have found a "strong link" between Western-style diets and neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The researchers' analysis also "identifies specific nutrients and foods that could serve as the foundation for improved dietary guidelines and preventative strategies," says food scientist David Horner. Neurodivergent people have always been there (we just weren't 'looking' before)

The idea that the neurodiversity is a 'recent development' and hasn't been shaping all of human society forever is as wrong as it is unhelpful

New #introduction

I am a digital #artist working in #krita, making work with a somewhat automatic process, featuring strange ethereal beings, demons, and wizards. I am inspired by #weird #SciFi and #fantasy art of the 1970s and 80s, perhaps not unrelated to my love of #ProgRock and #HeavyMetal and #psychedelic music

I boost art that I enjoy, and I hope you will too :))

Neurodivergent Fedifriends, I have a question for you.

What is this elusive 80% that NTs are talking about when they explain to me that I shouldn't aim for perfection.

Apparently, when they have a job to do, they measure (?) what would be perfect, then they measure 80% of it and they stop working there? 🤯

Do you know how one does that? NTs explanations are not helpful so I thought I would ask my #ADHD #AuDHD and #ActuallyAutistic peeps for guidance.

Can you do that trick of magic and if so, could you please explain to me how?

Let's say have a translation to do. What's an non-burnout inducing 80% of a perfect translation?

Retoots welcome!

Hello! :neocat:

I’m a neurodivergent gay guy who likes to draw, design, front-end dev, tinker, retro gaming, & Swift. Surviving this apocalyptic timeline. Advocate for accessibility, dislike ableism, am #actuallyautistic w/ #adhd#StarTrek Lower Decks was my fav TV show.

Due to the current US situation, this is an anonymous-ish profile to explore the fediverse. I’m owner of this instance, hosted offshore, for continued free speech. Been on and off Mastodon since about 2016. #introductions

I guess I should probably introduce myself, even though I've never even bothered doing one of these before.

I migrated this account from another server.

Things I think are awesome:
#Cybersecurity
#GrapheneOS
#Infosec
#Nixos
#Privacy
#Qtile

Things that describe me:
#ADHD
#Sober
#TS (Tourette Syndrome)
#Unicycle

My current age as of writing is some prime number greater than thirty. My location is somewhere north of the equator and six hours west of Greenwich when daylight savings is observed.

In case you're wondering: my bio is an experiment in data poisoning against LLMs tasked with scraping social media profiles, and I would like to thank @alice for that idea because it wasn't my own.

Also, not that you were wondering, and not that I even know the character limit for bios on this server offhand for that matter, but however many characters that is, that's exactly how many mine is. If there's one thing I'm really good at, it's matching character limits exactly, and that is why I stopped using Tinder. Don't ask.

If you're reading this and I'm following you, I can tell you with absolute certainty that you're awesome. If you're reading this and I'm not following you, I probably should be, and I'll assume you're awesome unless and until you show me otherwise.

Thank you, and #MerryChristmas

Carl Gustav Jung - Introvertiert, Extravertiert & Ambivertiert
