So I'm learning about a little known extinct Creole language called Sabir AKA the original Lingua Franca, which was spoken by sailors/merchants across the Mediterranean between the 15th and 19th century. The language combined Italian, Occitan, French, Arabic and Turkish. Sadly we don't have many written sources about it, and it likely had various dialects.
