NSFW #CrowUpdate !
It's the morning, I'm eating my breakfast. Mr Crow is above my house calling. Then, suddenly, I hear unfamiliar bird sounds in the park. I checked through the window.

They were doing it!!! In the middle of the park!

I assumed they already had, before the nest was completed.

Talking about the nest, it's been very windy all night and will continue to be until afternoon. I guess that'll be a test for the nest, now that it's unprotected from one side.

Starling.

This common bird is red listed in the UK, having seen long term declines. The breeding population in the UK has seen a 54% decrease between 1995–2022. This particular bird was alone and searching through the straw for food (usually invertebrates).
