Katakana strikes again! :blobfoxcrylaugh: Spent quite some time trying to figure out what English original for メルヘン is. Turns out it's from German "Märchen". Damn, I always forget that not everything in katakana is English-based. I also thought I knew that "fairy tale" in Japanese is どうわ, but apparently not only

Fun fact:
There is a pride flag in the official CEFR companion volume.

It describes language levels as a continuum and uses a rainbow and the pride flag as an illustration of a continuum which we simplify into discrete parts.

From now on I'll describe my language level in terms of the original meaning of each pride flag color. My German is at spirit and my Japanese is between healing and sunlight.

Sooooo... thinking about the possibility and feasibility of big life changes, namely studying opera seriously in Europe.
