It finally happened! I got my very first private message from Fediverse Chick!
After suspending a million versions of this account, I felt a little left out having not received a message myself.
Baffling to see a woman in a friends FB thread supporting the presence of Tate bros 'Pimping Hoes' podcast on #Spotify in the name of free speech. Describes herself as a 'free speech absolutist'. Just not for those poor country PoC moderators that have to deal with the absolute sh*t pouring into socmed streams every day - see screenshot from Gillespie, 2018 Custodians of the Internet.

From my reading about social media platforms growing exponentially, there comes a point where growing a #moderation team is essential. This problem is less common with the #Fediverse with self-hosted small instances. But what about the larger instances? Have any #devs thought about implementing features such as is available in #Discourse. A #trust based moderation system as a community grows? Is that even a feasible thing to do?
